Registration Information and Policies
How to Register: All participants must be registered the Friday before the respective session starts. No registration will be taken on the first day of class or at the Pool. Registration for the 2008 Sessions begin Tuesday, May 27, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. at Poquoson Parks and Recreation Office. Class sizes are limited and registration is taken on a first come first served basis.
Cost: Level classes are $45. Little People and Parent & Child Programs are $35.
Non-resident fee of additional $10.00. (no multiple child discount on lessons.) Non- resident fee is per- household, not per child.
Each child must be filled out on a separate registration form. Students may enroll in only one session at a time. Enrollment for an additional session will be accepted at the end of the first week of the class, after the instructor has suggested whether the student needs to repeat or is ready to move on to the next level.
American Red Cross certificates will be issued to participants who successfully complete the requirements. We will continue to provide a skill sheet of a student’s progress with the recommendation for either repeating or moving into the next level.
Refund is given only in the event of sickness. However, if space is available children can be moved to an alternative session. No make ups are given for vacation or absence. If a child missed the last day of class, certificates or skill sheets are on hand at the pool office for only 5 days following the last class. After that time pool staff holds no responsibility for paperwork passed out in the event of an absence.
It is recommended that children ages 6 and up participate in the Level classes. Children ages 3-5 should start out with an introduction called Little People.
If you have participated and passed a Level class before the age of 6 please bring certificate to registration to enroll in the proper level.
Parks and Recreation staff reserve the right to combine levels or cancel levels if class minimums are not met.
