Come learn more about the game of volleyball and skills needed for play This clinic is a wonderful way to improve your skills from serving, setting and the spike. Become a skilled player. Program runs 4 Saturdays: April 17, 24 & May 1, 8, 2010 Location: Poquoson Middle School Gym Grades 5-10 Time: 10am-11:15 Cost $40 Program #109 Camp Instructors: Colleen Duman, Lindsay Bunting PHS Volleyball Staff Deadline April 9. Instructional Field Hockey– Spring Stick Club |

Stick skills, game play, position training, offensive shooting and more, make this clinic an essential to stepping up your outdoor field hockey game. Clinic meets 6 times. Open to girls Ages 7 (as long as you have already been a Pixie) thru Grade 8. Time: 4:15 to 5:30pm Tuesdays & Thursdays Date: April 27 thru May 13, 2010. Cost: $40 This program is for residents only. Instructor: Elizabeth Hathaway, Varsity Coach PHS & Darci Chiappazzi, JV Field Hockey Coach. Location: Phillips Park Fields in front of Poquoson High School Deadline to register: April 15, 2010. Minimum of 10 required. All players must bring and wear to each session shin guards and mouth guard. If a stick is needed, please indicate it at the time of registration. Loaner sticks are limited. Fencing Classes Beginners |

Learn the basics of fencing from proper stance to basic defensive and offensive moves, to scoring points and proper protocols of the sport. Fencing is one of the best sports to teach hand and eye coordination as well as balance and timing. Program #102 Open to ages 10 to Adult (Under age 10 not accepted) Days: Sundays February 7 thru April 18. Class runs for 10 weeks No class during spring break—April 4. Time: 5-6 pm Poquoson Primary School. In order to measure and fit for equipment the first class will meet 4-6 pm. Cost: $65 –pay to PPR with registration. Equipment Fee: $110 Please bring this fee to the first class to cover personal equipment purchase. The instructor will order each student’s equipment to include proper jacket, foil (fencing sword), mask, and glove. Instructor: Vicki Hanes Minimum 4 participants |

Fencing Classes Intermediate |

For those who have successfully completed the beginners class or can demonstrate suitable basic proficiency to the instructor.* In addition to continuing to hone basic skills, fencers will learn more complex footwork and blade work. General fencing rules will also be covered, to include referee hand signals. Dates: Sundays February 7 thru March 28 Time: 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Location: Poquoson Primary School Gym Cost: $65 includes 8 sessions & Fee includes membership dues to PFC (see below) for April.
