Nautical Drawing
For Ages 12 to Adults Class meets 4 Times. Wednesdays and Friday. December 3,5,10, 12 6:30-8:30pm, Location Municipal Building.
Learn sketching techniques to capture the art of the watermen. Discover the maritime surprises in Poquoson by learning to deaw what you see and not what you think you see. Techniques will include free form sketching to capture boats, water, birds and nature scenes. Drawing texture will be a major part of this class. Instructor: Bryan Lopatic
Yoga Classes
This class explores basic hatha yoga poses incorporating movement, yoga breathing exercises and sitting meditation. It is designed both for students who are new to yoga and those with previous experience. Decrease stress, enhance flexibility, and increase stamina. Exercise, yoga mat needed for classes. Participants should wear loose fitting clothing. Dates: December 2 thru January 20 Cost $47. No class on 12/23 or 12/30. Instructor is Stella Quinn, RYT. Times: Tuesdays 6:30-7:30pm
Holiday Ornament Making for Kids
Sunday, December 7 2:30-3:30pm and Sunday, December 14 2:30-3:30pm
Join in the fun and make a variety of fun ornaments for Christmas. You'll make a shell angel, and learn how to reverse paint ornaments. Each day will feature a different type of ornament. Register at Poquoson Parks and Recreationn by December 1.
Cost is $24.00 per participant, includes all supplies and both classes. Location: Municipal Building.
