FIREFIGHTER/MEDIC

Starting Salary $31,279 plus $4,000 Annual Cardiac Tech/Intermediate Incentive Pay or $5,000 Annual Paramedic Incentive Pay

Excellent fringe benefits. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess State Certified Firefighter Level II/EMT-B, EMT-I. Higher certification is preferred. Must possess a valid operator’s license and have a satisfactory driving record based on the City of Poquoson’s criteria. Graduation from high school or GED required. CIVIL ENGINEER I

Salary: DOQ (dependent upon qualifications)

Assists the City Engineer with a variety of functions. Performs engineering design, analysis and review. Approves municipal and private developments in the City. Reviews construction development, maintenance and operational plans, manages municipal projects, conducts field investigations, and meets with developers, consultants, contractors and the public to resolve problems and explain City policies.

B.S. in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology required and a minimum of 5 years experience and/or training.

Drug Free Work Place–The City of Poquoson is committed to maintaining a drug free work place. Driving Record Requirement–During the interview process, applicants for jobs that require a driver’s license will be required to submit their current official driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
